Moody Gardens Attractions
Endless Fun under the Gulf Sun
Moody Gardens boasts diverse attractions. Educational activities include its massive pyramids, with one focused on the rainforest and the other on ocean life. Moody Gardens also has Galveston's premier coastal golf course, movie theaters, and seasonal attractions
Aquarium Pyramid (The Aquarium Pyramid is closed until May 26, 2017. We will have a grand reveal on May 27 - Memorial Day Weekend.)
Moody Garden's ten-story aquarium pyramid has ocean life from the south Atlantic, north Pacific, south Pacific, and Caribbean. This 1.5-million-gallon aquarium teems with creatures, including tuxedo-clad penguins, seals, stingrays, sharks, and more. With new renovations recently completed, it has a new shine that adds to nature's awe.
Visit the rainforests of Asia, Africa, and the Americas. This large collection of rainforest animals and plants gives you a rare, up-close experience with endangered plants and animals. See Giant Amazon River Otters, Saki Monkeys, and Chinese Alligators. One of the tures replicas of a real rainforest, this pyramid is a must see.
The Discovery Museum has fascinating exhibits on science and nature. Their current exhibit, Speed: Science in Motion, investigates the technology of Formula One auto racing. The racetrack-style shows an exhilarating look at Formula One racing, even with a pit lane, workshop, and physical testing environment.
Rope Course & Zip Line
This unique seaside challenge has fun for all ages. The Sky Trail Ropes Course is the tallest steel rope course on the Gulf Coast, and the Sky Tykes Rope Course gives smaller kids their own course to explore. The Moody Gardens Zip Line races 60 feet in the air over Palm Beach (closes for the season September 10, 2016) and its lazy river.
